- Put a dummy IP address in TCPMAN's Setup dialog. 0.0.0.0 will do.
- Of course, if you have a *permanent* IP address, put that there.

- Subject: Royalty issues with distributing winsock.dll
-
- Hi,
-
- This question has came up before in this newsgroup, regarding
- distributing winsock.dll with client application. We are currently
- developing a windows program that will need to provide PC-to-PC
- communication, and the only (are there any others?) way to do this
- is to do it using winsock.dll. Now there are lots of winsock.dll out
- there in internetland, but almost all of them are developed by different
- groups. This will mean that in order for us to include one of their
- winsock.dll, we have to negotiate a kind of a deal (I'm not very familiar
- with this area so please correct me if I'm wrong). The best way is to use
- a public domain version of winsock.dll.
-
- If someone out there is familiar with this area, please shed some
- light. Many thanks!!
